It is important to keep in touch with people in the home base business industry and to network with them. Somehow you pick up little pieces of information that stick somewhere in the twilight zone of your mind.
The results from taking note of those little insightful tidbits are that you actually enhance your success that you have in your business.
Not only that but you grow as a person and become more valuable to others in the process.
An example of this can be found in a place in time that you might have taken for granted or maybe you have not thought about it in this way up until now.
Think about this for a moment, you would never have been able to do math or learnt how to read if you never attended class on the subject on a regular basis and if you were never held accountable for what you learnt during class in the form of exams.
Everyday in school you rubbed shoulders with your teacher who had more knowledge then you in lets say mathematics for example.
Your teacher was your mentor.
The Home Base Business Industry Is No Different
It is no different in the home base business industry as well. This is one reason why I keep in touch with people who are in the Network Marketing industry for more than 20 years, that make 6 and 7 figure incomes.
Doing this has resulted in a great increase in my level of success in building my business. This is what I duplicate in my team as well.
Enough said about that.
It Just Seem Like The Right Thing To Do
The point is that I keep in touch with people like Todd Falcone who is a 7 figure earner with more than 20 years experience in the home base business industry.
You kind of listen and implement what he says because if you want to earn a 6 and 7 figure residual income, that would just seem to be the right thing to do. That is my opinion anyway.
I mean, if you do what he does, surely you will get the results that he has been getting from the way that he build his business.

In my recent call that I had with Todd Facone on one of his power hour mentoring calls, Todd Falcone shared the points that is the reason why people fail in the home base business industry.
Your Starting Point For Building A Profitable Home Base Business
Firstly you need to decide if you will hire yourself to be the CEO of your own multi million Dollar company.
Go to the mirror and look at yourself. Ask yourself the questions:
“Do I have what it take to build a mulit million dollar company?”
“Will I hire me?”
If your answer does not end in an “s” in the form of a 100% committed “YES!”
Realize that you will need to do what it take to make it happen. Also keep in mind that you are not alone.
Obviously you should make sure that you have a mentor that will guide you along the way.
Don’t get started without knowing where to get started, that can be just plain frustrating. Trying to figure things out on your own. Imagine you wanted to become a veterinarian and somebody told you to examine a horse. Where would you start? I would keep away from the hind legs if I were you.
Successful People Make Things Happen
They find ways to overcome any obstacle, are self driven people that do not except anything less than getting the job done.
Getting this mental bullet proof mindset only come from personal development material, meeting and contacting successful people in the industry and networking with them so that you obtain belief that you can also do the same and reach your aspirations that you aspire too.
If you look at the Network Marketing industry and the level of difficulty in building a successful business on a scale from 1 – 10. 10 Being brain surgery, you will probably place the Network Market Industry at a 2 or 2 and a half.
It is not difficult to do, in fact, it is the simplicity of it all that is the problem.
Low start up cost.
Because is so easy to do, it is also so easy not to do.
Lets say you decide just not to go to work today. Tomorrow you also stay at work and the next day and the next day and the next day with out even calling in to say that you are sick.
What will happen?
Yeah right. You will get FIRED!
Yet, what do you do while in the job that you hate, the boss that you do not see eye to eye with, the little pay that you get?
You SHOW UP for work every single day and you do the job related activities that you most probably do not like.
You do this anyway, why not do activities that will lead to financial freedom and independence?
I would spend as much time as possible and educate myself in how to rid myself of the slavery in a day to day job trading my time and life for money and that place limitations on me.
Fact is that if you cannot live a life style where you can go where ever you want to go, when you what to go, do what ever you want to do, buy what ever you want to buy, live where ever you want to live, you have to trade your time for money in a job that pay you enough to survive.
Don’t you rather want to live rather than to survive?
Strangely enough people do get started and then for some reason they fail do to these 12 points that Todd Falcone pointed out in his power hour call.

The Different Categories Of People That Fail And Why They Lack The Results That The Seek
1. The Hopper
The “Hopper” hops from one company to the next thinking that this is where the problem is with regard to not being able to build a profitable business. The fact is that the “Hopper” has not realized yet that it is not the actual company or compensation plan that is the problem.
What is the constant in the equation? The “Hopper” himself. The “Hopper” need to become a person of greater value to attract people to him and need a mentor to guide him. Sure, then the “Hopper” can use tools to help him in marketing as well but he still need to work on personal development to become that person of value.
2. Hedger
The “Hedger” get involved with multiple companies and think that this will help to reach success. It is very unlikely to build more then one Network Marketing business. In Todd Falcone’ words: “Find a horse and ride it.”
3. Loser Listener
Listening to family, friends and your broke buddies will suck the energy out of you. They have never made a 6 figure income so why would you listen to them telling you that you will never make it. Sure, if you listen to them you won’t. Listen to people who are earning 6 figure income and do what they say to get there.
Create some space between you and the negative crowd and mingle with the producers.
4. The Blind Man
Some people start out focused on building their MLM business and then get distracted by other things. An example of this is to start building your MLM business using the Internet and then getting distracted to affiliate marketing.
Keep focussed. There is a right way to utilize affiliate programs to help fund your business but this does not turn you into an affiliate marketer. Focus on building your Home Base Business.
Keep yourself blind to distractions and negative influences. Focus on getting results and build on those results.
5. Coach Potato
These type of people just do not do anything. They just sit there hoping for things to happen. What do you do with “Coach Potatoes”? Ask them if they are in or out. Know where you stand with them and then if they are out. Cross them off your list to work with and move on. “I Do Not Want Poop In My Business Do You?”
8. Quit
Some people just quit, you need to stay to make it in this industry. Improve your skills to get better results. Some people take a couple months, others a couple years before they get the returns that they want with regard to financial success in the industry.
In all of the success stories you will find one thing in common. They stayed in the game. You only fail when you quit.
Fail your way to success, that is the only way to succeed.

Why don’t you make your first $10 000 by doing what successful people do like the industry leaders and afterwards you can as Todd put it, screw it up doing it your way if you want too?
The best thing to do is to listen to people that are producing with out question and to do what they do.
10. Pussy Cat
These type of people are to afraid to do anything. They do not make a single move. If you look at the size of the cheque that they get from their company it is not helping them.
Get over it, make one call and realize that it is not that hard. Get over your fear one step at a time. Get in touch with your upline, mentor learn from them how they speak on the phone. The only way that you get better at something is through repetition and improving on your skills.
Nobody became a football star or professional athlete over night. They needed practice and guidance from a coach or a number of coaches.
Make things happen, decide that you are going to make it happen, find a community, mentor / coach and turn the “Pussy Cat” into a transformed LION ripping it up in the Network Marketing Industry to become the next success story.
11. Quarter Mile Horse In A 3 Mile Race
Some people get started and stop before they finish the race. I briefly touched on this in section number 8 with regard to quiting. The end of the marathon is why you entered in the first place. Keep focus on the end result. Focus on the reason why you got started in the first place. Failure is not a option. Once you get started their is no turning back.
Lets look at somebody who is serious with regard to weightloss. As you lose weight and your clothes get to big for you. Buy smaller clothes.
Give the bigger clothes to the church, charity, burn them if you like but get rid of the escape route that if you gain the weight back that you have something to ware.
There is no turning back. You changed your eating ways to be healthy nutrition meals that will lead to enhanced health and you are implementing a maintain eating plan to maintain your weight plus you committed yourself to do some kind of exercise with a friend that can help to support you.
Cut the bridge to be able to let go and gain the weight back again. Realize that if you do, you will be walking around naked because you will not have clothes to fit you.
THERE IS NO BUYING OF BIGGER CLOTHES! That is not and OPTION!
There is no store with bigger clothes. This is a powerful determined mind set that there is No room for failure. You are 100% committed to a better healthier life style.
Have the same mind set and attitude toward your business and you will get to the finish line.
12. Jibber Jabber
This come into effect when people start telling you that you do not need to sponsor. Load of nonsense. You do need to sponsor to have residual income in the Network Marketing Industry. You just need to acquire the skills to do it and to do it consistently and to teach your team how to do it consistently.
Jibber Jabber people tell you: “I am going to do this, I am going to be rich etc.” Then what happens are that they do not do anything. They are all talk but do not do the walk.
What you should do is listen to your prospects and to talk to them, they are looking for somebody to lead them. Stop telling other people that you are going to be rich and that you are going to buy a house in Switzerland or drive the latest what ever.
Do the activities to get the things that you Jibber Jabber about. Stop the Jibber Jabber. Do what I mentioned with regard to listening to your prospects and talk to them, lead them by example.
Well my friend if you are in one of these categories you are going to have to make a few changes.
