Maybe You Have Never Used A Cup In This Way Before
I do not know if you have heard this remarkable story before that I read in a book a long time ago but even if you have read it or a similar story, it is worth reflecting on it again because there is a great lesson to learn from it.
Picture This
Picture the scene of being in Japan with all it’s splendor and oriental buildings with its ornate arcutectural features that make Japan unique with a culture nowhere else to be found in the world.
Then picture a scene of a good couple centuries ago and a young man on a journey, a quest to find his true self.
The only belongings that he have, the clothes on his back. His sole purpose is to find enlightenment to have understanding of himself, taking note of his thoughts and guiding those thoughts in a pure way to reach purpose in life.
Maybe all of this is a little above your head but this is how the munks live and I do not intend this post to end up in religion, I just wanted to created the scene of such a young man in Japan living a couple centuries ago.
This young man in the story went throughout the country to find a “Master” that could point him on the true path that he was searching for.
The Young Man’s Quest
He had been to see a multitude of masters but none of them were able to teach or share with him the knowledge that he was seeking.
Alas, there was one more master that he had not seen yet and he decided to go to see him in the hope that he would find the illusive answer to his quest and purpose in life.
When he came to the gates that would allow him to enter to the master he was not allowed to enter.
The monks at the gate told him that he may only enter if the master wishes to see him.
So he waited.
The monks at the gate sent a message to the master informing him of the young man at the gate that wanted to see him.
Upon informing the master of the youngman’s presence at the gate, the master told the guarding monks not to let him in.
Your Reputation Precede You
The master knew about the young man and that he had been to every master in the country except him prior to coming for and exclusive interview with him.
Word was brought to the young man that the master decided not to see him.
Needless to say, the young man was very disappointed, he had traveled a long way to see the master and it most probably was his last hope of acquiring the answer to his enlightenment with regard to his life purpose.
He decided then and there that there was no reason for going back home until he had an interview with the master.
Life to him would have no meaning anyway because his entire life had added up to this very moment in time. He could only move forward from there once he had the interview.
So he sat down and started meditating.
He had no food or money. Just his clothes on his back and a staff.
He was a formidable adversary with his staff and spent disciplined hours of practice for many years becoming a master at the martial arts.
A Blistering Hot Day And Being Focused
It was a grueling hot day and he was dehydrated from not having anything to drink and obviously perspiring from the hot sun.
That evening temperatures dropped and he did not have very warm clothes to shelter him from the cold of the night.
The next day was extremely hot and yet the monks at the gate did not have mercy on him to provide him with anything to drink.
The young man just sat in one spot meditating.
Truly a mind over matter sort of scenario. Almost like, if it is not in the mind, it does not matter kind of thing.
Well, day two passed by and the monks notified the master that the young man was still awaiting him at the main gate.
Still the master refused to see him.
Finally Persistence Paid Off
In fact, four days passed and then the master sent for the young man. First they let him have a bath and gave him food and water to drink.
The following day he was summoned to meet with the master for tea.
The custom was that he had to wait in a tea house until summoned by the master.
When they got together, he made a little bow, which is a form of greeting or saying hello, a sign of respect.
They sat down and the young man started to speak while the master then stretched out his hand and took the tea to pour it.
The young man kept on speaking about all the masters that he had seen and that none of them could provide him with the enlightenment that he was searching for.
Using A Cup Wisely
The tea that the master was pouring into the tiny little cups were boiling hot.
As the young man kept on talking, the master had not even said one word yet. All that he was doing was to pour the tea into the young man’s cup.
The cup reached its fill but the master kept on pouring resulting in the tea spilling over and ending up on the young man’s leg.
It burnt him and he jumped up with a shout of pain and rubbed his leg.
He said: “That hurt! Why did you pour the hot tea on me?”
The master replied: “You are full, once you have made yourself empty and are ready to be filled, you are welcome to return.”
Are You Full? Has Your Cup Reached Its Fill?
The lesson that we learn here is that we are full of ideas and beliefs that we have build up over time and maybe within the space of several years.
Many people are not ready to be open to learn new ideas or to look at the results in their life honestly to see things out of a different perspective and are not willing to learn a set on knew ideas and way of dong things from somebody that will enable them to have different results or a different kind of enlightenment.
This results in people leading a life that they believe to be the only reality that they will ever be able to have.
When one decide just to become a little quiet and to really listen to somebody else that have different influences and experiences in life one might be quite surprised to find enlightenment of a different kind that might make things more clear.

Three Kind Of People
There are basically three kind of people in the world:
1. Poor
2. Average
3. Rich
What set these people apart is not finances alone, it has greatly to do with mindset.
Rich people have learned how to use systems and leverage and in the case of the poor and average… Well, they are part of the system that the rich leverage on to a certain degree.
You do not see the poor or average people benefiting from financial and time freedom do you?
Make no mistake, to become rich is hard work, many people worked long hours to get where they are in life to lead the life style that they do.
Unfortunately poor and average people lack the mindset of the rich, they can however try to break that chain with the right stimulation and influence of coming into contact with the right kind of people.
The problem is though that for you to start coming into contact with rich people you need to make a few changes to yourself and find a way to connect with them to find out what kind of ideas that they have.
Rich People Think Differently
Rich people think differently to the other groups. Rich people use systems to build empires and leverage.
Leverage could be having a business with employees that trade their time for money while the owner who invested in the business have the time and financial freedom.
Lets say that you have your own little enterprise and work morning to night. In that scenario you are your own system. You might make good money but you lack the time freedom.
In a different scenario, you work for a salary and earn good income but you also lack the time freedom to do what you want in your life.
Your cup has been filled with: You have to go to school, then further your education and get a job.
That is part of a system that help rich people leverage off the trading time for money so that it create financial and time freedom for them.
Fact is that only the rich have both time and financial freedom.
The only way that you can work to have time freedom is if you can use leverage to your advantage like the rich people do.
Does that make sense to you?
Rich people position themselves in the way of the flow of money.
One way of doing this is by looking for a market that is with in a trend.
One need to find a growing market with people looking for something that they want and need.
The product or services that they need must be superb and at the same time it should be affordable.
Then you need to have a system in place to manage it all leaving you with time freedom so that you will be in a position to have both time and financial freedom making you no different from the rich.
Doing this will enable you to cross over even if it takes a little time to develop from the average and poor category to the rich category.
As I have said before the rich work hard to get to that stage where time and finances are no longer an issue for them.
What would you rather do, continue as you are, work your entire lifetime and not be able to lead the life style that you dream about?

Make a few changes starting today, work a couple months putting effort into something that will be life changing for you?

Would you rather listen to uncle Bob, your sister, your brother or a work colleague telling you that this is a load of baloney or do people that are multi billionaires with rich people thinking know something about making billions of dollar that you and they do not know about?
If you want to become rich you better start thinking and doing what rich people do.
